The year 2009 was full of action for Oceansize as they were pretty busy supporting bands like Linking Park, Alice in Chains, Biffy Clyro and Faith No More, and also released limited editions of a box set named Feed to Feed and an EP named Home and Minor, all within 6 months.
Oceansize, along with “Calling All Cars”, joined the famous “Cong” on their national tour of Australia that spawned across May and June of the year 2009. This was the beginning of a very busy schedule of Oceansize, which lasted for the next six months. In this tour, Oceansize performed in some of the most prestigious stages of Australia across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, alongside Cong and Calling All Cars. Vennart once mentioned that he was very much excited about this tour and “hammered” his manager “to make it happen”.
Oceansize, not more than a month later, joined some of the greatest bands on earth such as Linkin Park, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, etc when they played at the festival of Sonisphere at Knebworth. After this performance on August 1, 2009, Oceansize performed alongside Biffy Clyro (August 21) and Faith No More (August 25) at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange event.
On September 2009, Oceansize released a box set named Feed to Feed, which was limited to 5000 copies and contained live recordings of the band’s full performance of all their three albums for three consecutive nights, one per night. The performances which were done in Manchester included even the B-Side tracks and the box set Feed to Feed contained a total of 4 CDs and 3 DVDs.
Oceansize also released their most favourite EP, Home and Minor in the same year on October 6, 2009, which was also a limited edition release.
